Summary/Abstract: Leafing the “Encyclopedia of the Great Personalities of the History of Romanian Culture and Science over Time,” Top 300, one may claim to find many of the contemporary geographical personalities belonging to the past or the present of this science of earth. Unfortunately, besides the fact that there appear in the top only three names of important geographers, founders of the science and current performers (Simion Mehedinti, Vintilă Mihailescu, Dan Bălteanu), none is a women. And this, despite the fact that there was a long list of women geographers who have honored this science, through their theoretical work, teaching or undertaken research field. We should, therefore, remember them at least by listing them (and here, Valeria Amelia Velcea Athena Herbst - Radoi, Bordei - Ion Ecaterina, Elena Teodoreanu, Vaselina Urucu, Ana Conea, Octavia Bogdan etc. can be mentioned, without the intention of hurting anyone), if not by making known the contribution that each of these individuals had in the development of the Romanian Geography.
