Summary/Abstract: We hope this paper makes a significant contribution to evaluating the conjunction of religion and political formations, the impact of globalization on religious pluralism, the functions that religious identity perform in the public sphere, shared national consciousness, and the preferences and practices of spatial consumption. Throughout this paper, we demonstrate the value and importance of the moral life of religious communities, religious concepts of dignity and secular concepts of human rights, decision-making dynamics internal to political systems, the role of agency in transfer processes, and global public policy networks.
