Asymmetric price transmission along the food chain. Example of poultry prices in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research is an analysis of the factors determining price formation in the agri-food chains. The article presents the theoretical backgrounds of the asymmetric vertical price transmission as well as empirical tests for asymmetry. In the empirical studies Enders and Siklos procedure based on TAR and M-TAR methodological framework was applied. The conducted research did not prove asymmetric pricing behavior on the Polish poultry market.
