Cooperative movement and activities of Franciszek Stefczyk

Summary/Abstract: The cooperative movement, which developed in the Polish lands before the regaining of the independence, owes resilience to Franciszek Stefczyk. Thanks to his efforts and activities this movement in spite of many, especially financial difficulties, developed also in independent Poland. The article presents achievements of Stefczyk and the activities of the Cooperative Research Institute. This institute was founded thanks to his efforts and it contributed to the development of cooperative thoughts during the interwar period.
