Świętokrzyskie local government units as beneficiaries of regional policy

Summary/Abstract: Every activity carried out within the framework of operational programs has specific recipients called beneficiaries. Local governments as beneficiaries of EU structural funds are a group which obtained a large pool of resources. Actions taken by local governments contribute to improving the attractiveness, competitiveness and availability of Świętokrzyskie region. The purpose of this article is to show Świętokrzyskie local governments as beneficiaries of EU aid and how they deal with fund raising. The analysis was carried out on the basis of completed projects of two financial perspectives: 2004-2006 and 2007-2013 (as of September 2011).
