Polish-Czech cross border cooperation of local government units from Lower Silesia Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: The problem of cross-border cooperation is often mentioned in the context of integration of border areas of the countries belonging to the European Union. Adjacent areas often have many common problems which can be solved by joint efforts of local authorities from neighboring areas. This article covers issues of identifying the Polish-Czech border cooperation in the region of Lower Silesia in the implementation of joint projects with partners from the Czech Republic, especially in the field of infrastructure. The article also provides examples of completed projects and identifies potential areas for further Polish-Czech cooperation.
