Summary/Abstract: The paper addresses the fluctuation in the conjugation of the verbs inherited by Aromanian from Latin, emphasizing the preference of Aromanian for the reduction of the number of conjugations. Analyzing the material offered by DDA, DER as well as the results of a field investigation which we conducted in an Aromanian speech community (Farseroti) from Dobruja, we noticed that out of the total number of 311 inherited verbs, one third evinces such fluctuation of conjugation. Since the extension of the suffix –eári does not allow us to provide a classification based on the infinitive, we take into consideration, the second person plural suffix of the present indicative.
