Autonomy of Will and Protection of Employees in the Era of the New Civil Code

Summary/Abstract: This article deals with fundamental Labour Law principles in the era of the New Civil Code in the Czech Republic. It successively touches on the basic principles of Labour Law and Civil Law; analyses freedom of contract on the one hand and the protection of the employee on the other hand and searches for a way to reflect both in the legal order and defines the specifics of actual employment relations. It attempts to attain the heading of Labour Law de lege ferenda.
