Summary/Abstract: „In keeping with the cosmopolitan spirit of the Ants Oras international symposium held in Tallinn in January 26, 2007, “The Cosmopolitan Message of Ants Oras”, I would like to quote from Charles Baudelaire’s New Notes on Edgar Poe, Notes nouvelles sur Edgar Poe, published in March 1857, eight years after Poe’s death, as the introduction to the second volume of Poe translations published by Edition Garnier. The English version comes from the City Lights Books publication entitled The Unknown Poe, an anthology of fugitive writings by Edgar Allan Poe, with appreciations by Charles Baudelaire, Stephane Mallarmé, Paul Valéry, J.K.
