Summary/Abstract: The Sulejmanpašić tower-house was built in the 18th century, and belongs to the type of residential tower-house. It is in very poor condition: all that remains of the building are the four outside walls up to the former third floor of the tower-house, though it originally stood more than 25 meters high, before being badly damaged by fire in 1831. It was in such poor condition before the start of remedial works that there was a real risk of its collapsing. The paper sets out the project carried out in 2008 and 2009 by the Commission to Preserve National Monuments, which was designed to carry out essential repairs to the surviving structural elements and to make safe those parts of the structure that posed a danger to the local residents, as well as providing the project documentation for protecting the building from further deterioration.
