Summary/Abstract: In the Mediterranean area and Black Sea area, Romania has both interest and a strong tradition of collaboration. Before 1989, the Bucharest regime managed to maintain good relations with both Israel and the Arab states. Bucharest supports Turkey's efforts for EU membership as Ankara supported our country's entry into NATO. Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey are partners în the Nabucco pipeline project, too. Simultaneously, Bucharest has a merit în supporting the interests of the Republic of Moldova to the EU authorities.
