Summary/Abstract: In this paper, motivated by a polemic reason, the author stands for the theoretical position of aesthetic formalism exposed in his book The Gay Aesthetics (Niš, 2004), especially investigating the concepts of "shape" and "matter" in Aristotle, and the concept of "form" in the philosophy of Kant and Schiller, in order to prepare foundations for the aesthetics as a theory of aesthetic culture.
