Summary/Abstract: In this article we undertake a comparative study of certain adverbial forms. We will discuss not only etymological aspects, but also issues concerning their semantics and word formation. When interpreting the language facts, we rely both on the Latin adverbs hŏdie, hĕri, mane, magis, plus and on their corresponding adverbs available in Romance languages today.
