The Role of State Institutions at Solving the Problems of Youth Unemployment

Summary/Abstract: The article is based on a data analysis from the sociological study of youth employment and unemployment held by equipe of Institute of Sociology in November 1992. Jobless youths, workers at „risk”, enterprises, students accomplishing high schools, students in the last year of their university studying, youths served their obligatory military service, who are up to go to the labour market has been questioned, as well as potential employers — managers of state and private companies. The main aim of the analysis is to evaluate the effectiveness of State institutions in dealing with problems of youth unemployment from two different points of view: from one side — the expectations of the youth, from other side — the real opportunities of the labour market and management.
