Summary/Abstract: According to Martin Heidegger’s opinion, modern science presents the reality as ‘the picture of the world’, subordinating it to a man as a presenting, watching subject. Heidegger want to modify this way of looking by postulating to look out for a look ‘from the other side’ – from the side of reality itself. In the article, the author shows that as an equivalent of Heidegger’s ‘look of a being’, one can paradoxically recognize the look of science itself – in so far as science studies itself, in the practice of evaluational measurement of science.
