Summary/Abstract: Poorly interested in politics in the last years, the Romanian electoral body became suspicious about political leaders and parties. The recent polls confirm the descending trend of population’s confidence in leaders and parties, trend that is similar for oppositional political parties too. The perfect connection between the leader and the party, the limited level of the electoral body’s confidence in leaders, and the risk to restrict the score of parties at the confidence level of their leaders might be some reasons for building the new political and electoral alliances.
