Summary/Abstract: Anthropological Reduction. Theology’s Dead End (or Its Chance)? In the Encyclical Letter, Fides et Ratio, Pope John Paul II spoke about “real problems” of our days, such as irrationality, relativism (moral and ethical) and anthropological turn. To solve the problems, he suggested the need of dialogue with the contemporary world. The Holy Father said that “the uncertainty of the truth’s knowledge induces the relativism on moral field”. The author analyzes the text, showing that the truth does not refer to the deep analysis gnoseologic of the existence but it concerns the possibility of knowledge of the ethical values in the current context.
