Summary/Abstract: South-eastern region of Lithuania,because of its polycultural peculiarities,is unique from the point of view of studying common features of language interference,on terms of parallel coexistence of sev-eral languages.Language interaction is observed on all levels,but more actively on the phonetic one. The Belarussian language is one of the regional languages on this territory which actively participates in the process of interference. The author examines phonetic peculiarities of the Belarussian language,which are conditioned by polylinguistic situation in the south-eastern region of Lithuania,gives examples of influence of Belarussian phonetic system on other languages functionating here.
