Summary/Abstract: In this article, we aim to highlight a peculiarity of the Célinian style, orality, through an analysis of language functions in a fragment of the novel Mort à crédit. Elements with specific functions (expressive, impressive, etc.) at micro-textual level acquire, through their inter-relatedness, an additional function at macro-textual level, which is more important than the others: a stylistic function.
