Consideraţii demografice asupra armenilor din Gherla în perioada interbelică
Demographic considerations of Armenians from Gherla during the interwar period

Summary/Abstract: The following study tackle the issue of Armenian demographics of Gherla in the interwar period. Using information collected from the existing archive materials, census data and existing studies, we can notice the existence of a certain dynamic at the level of the Armenian community of the village, which managed to rebuild the community economic and social power based on the newly arrived immigrants from the former Ottoman Empire. For this short period the well-known occupations of this ethno-cultural group managed to flourish on the traditional base brought by the group of newcomers.
