Testimonies of the urban vernacular architecture in Galaţi

Summary/Abstract: The article intends to highlight the existence, in Galaţi, of some buildings which take part in the urban vernacular architecture. We analyze a family residence and an inn, both built during the last decades of the XIX-th century and displaying specific characteristics of traditional Romanian architecture.
