Sustainable Development And Culture Of Peace In The Balkan Countries

Summary/Abstract: Starting from the theoretical and methodological foundation of subprojects Geoculture development and culture of peace in Serbia and the Balkans in the context of contemporary structural changes, within the macroproject Culture of peace, identity and interethnic relations in Serbia and the Balkans in the process of Eurointegrations, the work is divided into two parts. The first one makes the reference to different interpretations of development and culture of peace. The second part presents contents of national strategies for sustainable development in the three Balkan countries: Serbia, Macedonia and Bulgaria and the results of empirical studies that indicate understanding of a culture of peace and understanding of sustainable development with special emphasis on the place of environmental protection in these countries.
