The use of netting in accounts settlementswithin the corporation

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the system of settling accounts, called netting, and its benefits in corporate practice. When international entities undertake the procedure of compensating accounts payable with accounts receivable they usually use multilateral netting. It facilitates payments within a group, leads to a decrease in operating and transaction costs, minimizes an influence of an exchange rate impact, strengthens an intra-group payment discipline and increases liquidity.
