Impact of the financial markets crisison the alternative european investment markets’ standing

Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the functioning of European alternative equity trading systems in recent years. On the basis of their condition and the observed trends possible further changes in their business are indicated. Moreover the risks that may have a significant effect on the shape of public venture market are pointed out. The thesis indicates a defective performance of alternative markets resulting from non-optimal distribution of the benefits from their operation. The effect of this is beginning to be seen in a slowdown in the development of these markets and their decreasing popularity, especially in the eyes of investors.
