Summary/Abstract: Iran became in the years 1965-1978 one of Romania’s most important economic partners, and their politico-diplomatic relationships have been remarkably intense. In order to explain, in an argumentative manner, the Romanian-Iranian politics, this study aims to present these countries’ bilateral relations in a wider context, taking into account both Iran’s domestic and foreign policy.
