Summary/Abstract: The article is part of a research work qualifying for an a associate professor, entitled "The Handwriting of the Route ". The subject matter of the research is Henry de Vestine 's travel notes submitted to the 'Le Figaro' newspaper after the April Uprising in 1876. What presents interest for the Bulgarian reader is the French viewpoint on the Serbian and Turkish wars, as well as the created media image of the dramatic events in Bulgaria.
