Summary/Abstract: In the article the method of operational risk identification is presented. At the be¬ginning the operational risk is defined and then the methodology of research is described. In the next three parts operational risk is estimated on the example of Polish mining companies in the years 2003-2008. Finally the results are aggregated and one class of operational risk is determined.
