Intellectual property assets – source of creating innovation capital in enterprise

Summary/Abstract: Creating market value of modern enterprises is determined by the ability to create, develop and use of innovation capital. The quality of this process is conditioned by a possibility to protect components that constitute innovation capital, i.e. intellectual property assets. This is important to the extent that the protection is a key element of transforming knowledge into economic value. Providing an appropriate protection enables not only to turn an idea into a right of real market value, but it is also a necessary condition to limit violations of such a right.
