Summary/Abstract: The author presents two main lines in the development of the new (symbolic and mathematical) logic: mathematical analysis of logic (Boole, Peano, Schroder, De Morgan) and logical analysis of mathematics (Frege, Russell, Witgenstein). Gottlob Frege, a German philosopher and mathematician, has been considered within the creation of the logical Calculus and its notional script - Begriffsschrift (an ideal and artificial language - "logic as a language grammar"). Frege has also been presented as a creator of asemantic ontology at the beginning of the analytic philosophy development. The main Frege's works have been quoted and surveyed here: Begriffsschrift, Die Grundlagen der Aritetik, Grundgesatze der Aritrnetik, Ueber Sinn und Bedeutung. In these works the logics of the first and second order were initiated as basic forms for the further development of the symbolic logic found at Russell, Witgenstein and Carnap.
