GOTTLOB FREGE – THE CREATOR OF MODERN LOGIC AND PHILOSOPHY OF LANGUAGE

Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the memory of Gottlob Frege (80 years after death) and presents a set of facts about live and work of this German mathematician-philosopher and philosopher-mathematician who is known as the creator of the modern logic and philosophy of language. Professor of mathematics from Jena, Gottlob Frege, is originator of mathematical or symbolic logic, the creator of the logic of predicates and logic of propositions, and the creator of distinction between sign and designated, meaning and reference, truth and true values. Frege make great impact on Russell, Carnap, Wittgenstein, Tarski and a large number of philosophers of language and logicians inside an atomistic concept of philosophy of logic. He makes impact on holistic concept of philosophy of logic and graphical reasoning and visualization of logical relations by his conceptual definition.
