Summary/Abstract: With the conference bearing the earlier mentioned titled the “Research Institute for Social Sciences and the Humanities” in Sibiu celebrated, between the 16th and 18th of October 2009, the 50th anniversary of its house-in journal “Forschungen zur Volks-und Landeskunde”. The conference enjoyed large participation from researchers from Romania and abroad.
