Summary/Abstract: Given the persuasive force of advertising discourse, this one needs to use some particles which are the poof of its intensity. This article seeks to reveal a few theoretical approaches of the discourse markers, as well as to distinguish between discourse markers, in general, and connectors, in particular, with an accent on the connector “but” and its values in pragmatics.
