Summary/Abstract: Advertising was categorized as a special kind of communication because it’s meaning is a sum of signs, symbols, ways of interpretation, manner of constructions and deconstructions. Viewed from a semiotic dimension, advertising is more than a good way to sell a product, it is a path to invent and reinvent symbols, to use figures and to create signification. This paper analyses the manners in which print advertising, through imagines/linguistic message creates meaning by using signs and symbols.
