GENDER AND POLITICS AS THE DOMINANT FACTORS IN THE PERCEPTIONS OF MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents an analysis of research focusing on the attitudes of students at the University of Novi Sad, Serbia toward multiculturalism and on the intersection of the gender aspect and students’ political affiliation. The results show that both gender and political affiliation shape student attitudes since more female students and those who identify themselves with the democratic block support multicultural education in comparison with those who identify themselves with the nationalist block.
