Biofuels in Bulgaria - Trends and Challenges

Summary/Abstract: Biofuels play an important role in the world energy policy. The exhaustion of fossil fuels and the change in climate require, on the one hand, adequate decisions to preserve the environ¬ment for the future gene¬ra¬ti¬¬ons. On the other hand, the deepening world economic crisis, worldwide fa¬mi¬ne, the shortage of food and food products and their rising prices make it ne¬ces¬sa¬¬ry to manage and utilize waste, an enormous source of which are agricul¬tu¬re and waste products (domestic, commercial, industrial, institutional, etc.)
