The combined estimation of the frontier production function

Summary/Abstract: In the study the combined method of estimation of the frontier production function has been presented. In that solution a standard parametric approaches based on regression analysis and non-parametric approaches connected with mathematical programming techniques were used. Additional remarks specifying the practical using of this method were also supplemented. Using of the method was illustrated on the example of agriculture of individual European Union regions. In that study differences in the effectiveness of agricultural production between various members of EU were also shown.
