Sketches on the Dynamics of Welfare

Summary/Abstract: Based on a methodology of its own – the holistic and spiritual nature of wellbeing and ensuing inferences – the paper clarifies its dynamics from three perspectives. First, the individual’s state as an indication of wellbeing. Second, institutions and communities in connection with personal wellbeing. Wellbeing is regarded as their focus, with communities (and not institutions) being the determinant factor, and against the backdrop of current issues, communities should control institutions, i.e., the individual becomes the motive power of life. Third, wellbeing as a dynamic system with substantial aspects and activities, changing accents (cores), and cycles and stages. The author explains that these pulsations and inner shifts and contradictions are essentially necessary to uphold its optimal status.
