Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a summary of key considerations that influence the effectiveness of remuneration systems. These conditions relate to the employees, in particular values that influence the level of their remuneration. The article emphasizes the influence of salary as a motivator and strategies adopted by employees in connection with using actual pay agreements by an employer. The determinants which are described are connected with the possibility of accomplishment of different payroll functions.
