Summary/Abstract: On 30 March 1933, Polish Consul General Adam Lisiewicz reported1 from Munich that: “Hitler’s revolution in Bavaria, reputed to be the most stubborn state, took place with less violence than in other states of the Reich.” He nevertheless added: “We should argue that the new government is ruthless towards their opponents and does not want to make any concessions whatsoever,” revealing that: “A big camp is being prepared for the internees in Dachau, in former military factory facilities, left idle since the war, that can accommodate some 4[00]–500 people. Setting up a dining room for 500 and furnishing winter facilities may indicate that the internees will remain there at least until next winter.”
