Summary/Abstract: The British government's attitude toward independent Albania was guided by the application of the principles of Realpolitik, in order to maintain peace and stability in the region. Fragile equilibrium and unstable Balkans directly engaged in the Foreign Office-in (FO), the mediator, to harmonize conflicting interests, in relation to the Albanian issue, of the Great Powers, the Entente grouped in blocks and Tripartite Alliance. Product "European concert" was the decision of the Conference of Ambassadors in London on July 29, 1913, for the organization of Albania "as an autonomous principality, and hereditary sovereign, under the guarantee of the six powers. Prince would be determined by the six powers. He will be appointed within six months.
