Summary/Abstract: The article takes up the function of stereotypes in communication. Having kept in mind the key conceptions of a communicative standard at the Awdiejew‟s communicative grammar, a type and a stereotype, the author claims that creating chosen elements in a stereotype and their evaluation depends on particular point of view. Such extracted from stereotype relativism of meaning is discussed on the basis of “tolerance” notion efficiency/non-efficiency. The article concludes with deliberations regarding stereotypes, which are used as prerequisite in axiological arguments for the evaluating submission in public discourse.
