Summary/Abstract: How do we discover new facts and natural laws? Epistemology has been looking for this in the mind, the transcendental ego, the logical syntax of language, etc. Here it is contended with B. Latour that facts and laws are "black boxes" closed because of the actors in the drama of science allying and separating themselves, because of isolating the dissenting and the retreat of the weaker in face of the allied enemy. But this is not to say that sociology has finally discovered the molecule of knowledge which epistemology has been looking for in the wrong place. No essence of technoscience has been discovered exactly as Wittgenstein didn't discover any essence of the language game. Therefore Latour is not in possession of any special knowledge to fulfill the New Enlightenment he is claiming for.
