Summary/Abstract: Being a language spoken in such a vast territory, which limits contact between geographical areas, Spanish presents a high degree of linguistic variation, which leads to one of its key features: diversity. However, its diatopic varieties present common features which unite them. This study analyzes two phenomenons of syntactic variation (leísmo and mode selection after the adverb of doubt quizás) in different hispanophone areas, and aims to prove that the trends observed in the real use of the language generally obey to the norm of standard Spanish.
