Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the most important success factors that can be used by multinational companies in the international business strategy in emerging country markets. The most important factors are: the relationship with the government, with the customers, suppliers and the community, the entry strategy and the adaptation of the marketing mix elements.For the emerging markets new business models have to be developed, taking into account the problems of poverty and distorted income distribution.
