The Kriza János Ethnographical Society is Twenty Years Old (An Interview by Csongor Könczei)

Summary/Abstract: This article is an interview with the founders, directorate and coworkers of Kriza János Ethnographical Society. The Kriza János Ethnographical Society was founded in 1990. At the beginning the Society’s members were people interested in ethnography and homeland knowledge as a hobby, but who could not learn about these subjects in university courses or in other academic institutions. Nowadays the Society’s center in Cluj-Napoca/Kolozsvár is a scientific researching workshop which publishes and conducts research programs with the help of Hungarian and Romanian foundations.
