Summary/Abstract: The present situation in Europe in the field of education of future teachers teaching physical and health education in primary schools has not been harmonized yet with the imagined model planned by the Bologna Declaration. In the Republic of Croatia physical and health education is taught by preschool pedagogues, primary education teachers and professors of kinesiology. The aim of this paper was to find, using comparative analysis, whether there are differences in the representation of the subjects in the field of kinesiology between higher learning institutions in Croatia and those in some other countries in the European environment. A few years ago there came to a homogenization of the curricula at the institutions educating teachers and pedagogue, although there are still some differences in certain segments of the subjects of instruction. Also, it can be concluded that the curricula of the higher education institutions of the EU countries, engaged in the education of teachers and pedagogues, are not standardized either, while kinesiology subjects are present in a lesser extent than in Croatia.
