CAPITAL MARKET. EVOLUTIONS AND TENDENCIES IN ROMANIA

Summary/Abstract: The market is the heart of the new economy in Romania, after the collapse of the communist regime. There are many markets in an economy: goods market, labor market, money market, etc. One of the most important is the capital market. It is a major component, along with the credit market, of the financial market - the market for the money necessary for investments the entrepreneurs undertake. The main characteristics are described, and the past evolution and future trends are presented. This is made by using the main indexes for the Romanian market. A comparison with other capital markets in the world is made, and the relationship of the Romanian capital market evolution with the evolution of the major capital markets in the world is assessed.
