Summary/Abstract: Mandatory occupational risk assessment in Romania arises from the current legislation in the field, which has been harmonized with the EU legislation on safety and health at work. Current legislation compels managers of companies to introduce the concept of security in the organization of work itself. Analytical methods and means of work systems in terms of labor safety are necessary for rapid and realistic identification of situations deficient in terms of prevention of accidents and occupational diseases. Total elimination of hazards that is accidents and occupational diseases in the labor system is practically impossible. In reality, there are acceptable levels of labor safety, the implementation of which requires serious efforts of qualitative and quantitative assessment attempts.
