Summary/Abstract: In publicism dealing with Mid-Eastern Europe, a metaphor of Atlantis occurs frequently. Numerous places like: East Carpathian culture, Eastern Prussia, Galicia, Western Belorussia, Podlasie, Jewish Konin, Poland, Yugoslavia, all Mid-Eastern Europe are called this way. What the geographic-cultural areas have in common is the fact that they belong to the past and they are multi-cultural ones. All of them, if they are not entirely Slavonic, undergo Slavisation. Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union are specific examples of Atlantis, catalysts of nostalgia for multi-culturalism with Slavonic primacy.
