Summary/Abstract: Published document is a report on the involvement of the Serbian Government in training cadets who came from Ottoman Empire. It was written in 1891 upon Minister’s request, by Mihialo G Ristić, clerk in the Ministry of Foreign Affaires. Ristić was well informed and interested in his work. He had access to the archives of the Ministry, which enabled him to write synthesis extremely useful for assessing performance and also as a basis for future propaganda activities. This report shows that the Serbian government gave great importance to the education of young people who came from neighbouring Ottoman Empire. Last two decades of XIX century, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been working on opening of Serbian schools in Turkey with variable success. Serbian government concluded that training of cadets in Serbia and their return to homes in Ottoman Empire to work as teachers or priests presents significant form of national propaganda. A large part of Ristić`s report deals with cooperation between the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the private organization “Društvo Svetog Save”, which was dedicated to the national work and education of Serbian cadets who originated from Ottoman Empire.
